R-Quest Information
When the beam passes over a bump, the light is bounced away
from the optical sensor. Cd-rw discs have taken the idea
of writable cds a step further, building in an erase function
so you can record over old data you don't need anymore.
The optical medium, however, represents a technological
advancement over mechanical and magnetic media for a number
of reasons: It provides more memory capacity than the analog
tape or phonograph in a relatively small size, it reproduces
sound with higher-fidelity, and its method of operation
involves no physical contact between the device used to
read information from the disk and the disk itself eliminating
wear to the optical disk.

9850 info: Although tower cd copying is faster, you
will need to manually refill the drives, as robotic arms
are rarely available. Sometimes disc label printers are
included to produce a handful or even hundreds of finished
discs per hour. In the previous design, would purchase
a machined gear, place it on the duplicator and put in
the setscrews. See
